New Winchester to hold weekly golf scrambles

NEW WINCHESTER - New Winchester Golf Course will be holding golf scrambles Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday mornings, beginning each day at 9 a.m. The scrambles will start the week of April 9.

College Roundup: Poly men take own golf event 
The Cal Poly mens golf team won its own Mustang Intercollegiate tournament by 13 strokes Friday. The Mustangs had no individuals in the top three but had three in the top 15 to take the 18-team event at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande.

ESCANABA Stash the TV remote and find your golf clubs because golf season is underway in Delta County. The Terrace Bluff Golf and Country Club opened for play Thursday and neighboring Irish Oaks Golf Course will open Sunday. The Escanaba Country Club and Highland Golf Club will likely open Monday.

OSU golf takes second at Duck Invitational 
EUGENE The Oregon State mens golf team took second place at the Duck Invitational on Tuesday, but considering the competition, the result may go down as one of the best in school history.
